I find nothing more satisfying than having the extended family around the table, simply enjoying what we all prepared for dinner. It is in those moments, when one is truly relaxed and at ease, that all your senses are alive. I believe it is only then that wine-tasting becomes a memorable experience; when the aromas, textures and flavors of a home-made meal interact with those in a wine. It is, to me, as if all the sensory receptors work better when the brain is busy doing something else (like telling a funny story about you mother in-law).
